My Favorite Gear for Both Video/Stills & RVing
The Camera & Audio Gear I Use
Sony ZVe10
My go-to camera for regular “talking head” type videos.

Sony RX100 mVII
Before I bought the Sony ZVe10, the Sony RX100 mVII was my primary video camera. It’s still my go-to for travel and for stills. It’s smaller than the ZVe10. It feels solid. Takes great photos and videos. Has a viewfinder and built-in flash w hich the ZVe10 doesn’t have.

DJI Osmo Pocket 2 Creator Kit
The carry anywhere all the time camera for usually shorter spur-of-the-moment videos. The Creator Kit comes with a wireless microphone which works seamlessly with the Osmo Pocket 2.

GoPro Hero 9 Black
This is my “action” camera. It’s especially handy in that it’s waterproof.

Go Pro Hero 11 Black (newest version)
I haven’t found a need to upgrade from the 9 to the 10 nor to this newest. But if you’re interested in the very latest version, here’s the link.

Rode Wireless Go 2 Microphone System
This two-mic system does an excellent job of capturing clear audio. A new firmware update gives this even more functionality.

Charging case for the Rode Wireless Go 2
This also works with the original Wire Go System.

Power DeWise Professional Grade 2-lavalier mic set
I’ve used the Rode lavalier mics and I’ve used this much cheaper Power DeWise lavalier mic. I can’t hear the difference. It comes with a TRRS to TRS adapter so you can use this mic with smart phones.

Some of my Favorite RV Accessories
Garmin RV 780 Navigator with Traffic
Garmin is constantly coming out with new versions making this one way cheaper than when I bought it.
With a satellite-based navigator, you don’t use your phone’s data plan and unless you drive into a tunnel…you’re going to have a signal

Garmin GPS 66i, handheld GPS receiver for hiking, adventuring, geocaching, and more.
I bought this for the SOS feature as a solo RVer and hiker. It has way more features than I needed, but it also has plenty of features I use on a regular basis. You do need to purchase a subscription through Garmin in order to use the SOS feature as well as being able to give your friends a way to follow your route or “find you” should something happen.

Garmin InReach Mini 2
This is a much smaller and lighter version of the GPS 66i mentioned above. I owned this first and bought it just for the SOS feature and the ability to track back to my starting point. It also can enable family members to locate you in an emergency or follow along on your trail. It doesn’t have all the features of the 66i, but if you’re worried about your safety and aren’t going to go geocaching…this is all you need. I didn’t want to carry two devices when one will do which is why I sold the Mini 2 and bought the other.
